Make it your business to be cyber safe
A business focused event tackling the ever growing threat of cyber-attacks will take place in Cork next week.
Network Ireland Cork, in collaboration with AIB, will host its November event, Safeguarding Success: Cyber Resilience in a Digital Age, on 5 November.
The event will bring together business leaders, cybersecurity experts, and professionals to explore how Irish businesses can strengthen their defences and build resilience in an increasingly digital world.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, the panel discussion will focus on practical strategies for safeguarding operations, data, and reputation. Attendees will gain expert insights, real-world examples and actionable tools to help protect their businesses from potential risks.
Guest speakers include Aoife Noone, Founding Director and CEO of Noone Cyber Services and Think Smart Cyber; Richard Curran, Managing Director of Sentinel Computers; and AIB Cyber Awareness Leads, Audrey Doherty and John Haren.
Aoife Noone will discuss the power of combining mindset and technology to foster safer online behaviours, while Richard Curran will share his experience helping SMEs strengthen their IT and cybersecurity frameworks. The AIB team will provide practical advice on fraud prevention and cybersecurity awareness from a financial services perspective.
Cathy Fitzgibbon, President of Network Ireland Cork, said: “In today’s digital world, cyber resilience goes beyond technology; it’s about awareness, education, and readiness. This event aims to empower business owners, professionals, and our wider community to feel more confident and informed about staying safe online.”
Network Ireland Cork is part of a national organisation supporting the professional and personal growth of women in business through networking, mentoring, and events.
