Bread-y for more baking success
A Carrigaline bakery took the top award at the prestigious National Grocery Retail Awards 2025 recently.
Checkout announced Barry Collins SuperValu Carrigalin as Ireland’s Best Bakery Offering Winner during a gala awards ceremony at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 21 October.
These awards, now in their fourth year, combine the legacy of Checkout’s previous awards, including the Best in Fresh awards, and celebrate best-in-class performance across all areas of grocery retailing.
Speaking after the event Glenn Leacy, Barry Collins SuperValu Carrigaline Store Manager said that he was delighted with the win and thrilled for the store and the full bakery team at Barry Collins. Glenn continued with the praise of the bakers for their dedication and commitment to maintain the level of standard expected and the quality of their workmanship. “Our bakers are at work from 3am daily to prepare and bake products fresh each day for our customers,” he said.
