The next chapter of Corkmas 2025 has been unveiled, with Emmet Place’s Christmas Market making a comeback.

The market - which opened to the public on 21 November - features beautifully decorated wooden chalets, artisan producers, and talented local craftspeople. Visitors can expect a host of attractions, from handmade gifts to delicious winter treats.

The star of the show will of course be making an appearance: The Corkmas Santa Experience will return starting Friday 28 November, giving families the chance to meet the man himself every weekend until 21 December. Tickets cost from €22pp.

A favourite festival tradition also returns, with the iconic ferris wheel and vintage carousel illuminating Grand Parade from 28 November, giving a beautiful bird’s eye view of the city.

Also making a long-awaited comeback in 2025 is the newly redeveloped Bishop Lucey Park. Following its reopening this week, Cork City Council have confirmed that it will play host to a range of family-friendly activities. These include a craft workshops, sessions with Cork Community Art Link, a childrens’ festive disco, and a family circus workshop. The public will also have a chance to access the new plaza as part of the Counting House redevelopment project, which will be open temporarily and will play host to a number of events. The plaza will feature performance on 6 and 7 December from groups such as the Barrack Street Brass Band, The Munster Quartet, Cork School of Dance and The Kabin Crew, among many others.

A spokesperson for Cork City Council thanked BAM – the developer in charge of the Counting House project – for allowing the temporary use of the plaza for the festive activities.

The Emmet Place Christmas Market will be open between Friday 21 November and Monday 22 December, operating from Thursday to Sunday each week. It will be open on Thursday and Friday between 12pm and 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 8pm.
