Dancing in Cork city for five years
Next week marks five years of a much-loved community dance initiative.
Led by renowned Cork DJ Stevie G, Everybody Dance marks a major milestone on 26 February as it celebrates five years of dancing and music history.
Since its launch, Everybody Dance has grown into a vibrant, inclusive gathering that brings people of all ages and backgrounds together on the dance floor. What began as a simple idea, to create a welcoming space where the community could connect through music and movement, has become one of Cork’s most uplifting regular events.
Hosted in the unique atmosphere of the Marina Market, the initiative has played a vital role in fostering social connection, wellbeing and joy, particularly during challenging times.
“We are absolutely delighted to be part of this incredible initiative,” said Floyd Cooper, Marina Market General Manager.
He added: “Everybody Dance truly embodies the spirit of community in Cork. It is welcoming and full of life. Congratulations to DJ Stevie G and everyone involved on five fantastic years. We are excited to celebrate this milestone together and look forward to the next five years of music, connection, and shared happiness.”
The fifth birthday celebration promises an extra special atmosphere, with the same infectious energy, great music, and inclusive spirit that have defined the event since day one. Everyone is welcome, no dance experience required, just a willingness to join in. Admission is free.
