Jobs boost at Cork business park

A biopharmaceutical company will house its European headquarters on Leeside, it was announced this week.

Evumed’s multimillion euro investment will see the creation of 30 jobs in 2026 across quality, regulatory, supply chain, finance, and support functions. These investments will serve to further Evumed’s mission of advancing healthcare by ensuring continuity of supply and enabling patients across Europe to access high-quality, affordable medications.

The headquarters is based at Cork Airport Business Park and the deal was completed by letting agents Knight Frank, who are also in discussion with three global companies regarding potential tenancies at the site.

Colm Moynihan, President, Evumed said: “Cork Airport Business Park’s exceptional global connectivity and modern infrastructure, coupled with Cork’s position as a global hub for pharmaceutical manufacturing and innovation offers Evumed the ideal location to grow as we aim to develop and deliver generic, branded, and biologic medicines and bring innovation and accessibility together to improve lives.”

Kevin Howey, Property Manager, Blackwater Asset Management Ltd, said: “These latest investments further underline Cork Airport Business Park’s critical role in the Cork business environment.

“With a strategic location next to Europe’s fastest growing airport, we offer companies like Evumed a unique opportunity to be located in close proximity to Cork city whilst also benefiting from easy accessibility to the globe through Cork Airport.”
