Young players don their new jerseys
A Cork-headquartered renewable energy company has announced a new sponsorship with Cobh GAA Club.
As part of the agreement, Amarenco has become the official jersey sponsor for the club’s underage teams, sponsoring 125 jerseys for the club’s under 7/8, under 9, under 12, under 14 and under 16 teams.
Pat Doherty, Cobh GAA Executive Member said: “We are very grateful for the support of Amarenco. Sponsors help us grow and develop our teams and improve our facilities.
“It’s especially meaningful to partner with a local organisation that shares our values around sustainability and community. It’s fantastic to see our young players in their new jerseys. We hope this is the start of a long partnership with Amarenco.”
The company was presented with a framed jersey during a recent training session at the club.
Declan Cullinane, Managing Director of Amarenco said: “Cobh GAA is at the heart of the local community and has played a vital role in bringing people together for more than 100 years. We’re proud to help them continue that tradition and inspire the next generation of young players. We believe in investing in the communities where we are based as we work together to create a more sustainable future.”
The sponsorship comes as Amarenco has begun construction on a 5MW solar farm, 1km north of Cobh.
