30 homecare assistants roles for Cork
A Cork-based agency has announced plans to recruit up to 30 homecare assistants across Cork city and county as part of its continued expansion and commitment to supporting people to live independently in their own homes.
Care Connect Group, which provides high-quality, person-centred home care services across Ireland, is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference within their local community.
The recruitment drive comes at a time of growing demand for home care services nationally, with recent figures from Home & Community Care Ireland showing that more than 5,500 people are currently waiting for homecare packages across the country. Demand for home support services is also projected to increase significantly over the coming years.
Successful applicants will support clients in their own homes, assisting with daily routines and providing practical and personal support that enables people to remain living safely and comfortably in familiar surroundings.
Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 qualification, including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person modules, or be currently studying towards these qualifications.
Keith McDonagh, Managing Director of Care Connect Group, said: “We know that many people want to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible, but that can only happen if there are enough caring and committed people available to provide that support.
“Through this recruitment drive in Cork, we're not only creating employment opportunities locally, but helping address a growing need within communities. We want to build a team that delivers the highest standards of care while also creating meaningful and rewarding careers for people who are passionate about helping others.”
Care Connect Group was established to provide trusted, flexible and personalised home care solutions that allow people to stay at home rather than move unnecessarily into residential care settings.
The organisation places a strong focus on supporting and developing its workforce, offering opportunities for progression and ongoing training while delivering high-quality care services tailored to individual needs.
