Gardaí investigate death in Riverstick

An investigation is ongoing into the death of a man in a pub in Cork over the weekend.

The incident happened in a premises in Riverstick on Sunday evening. Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident shortly after 9pm but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the mortuary at CUH where a post-mortem examination is set to take place.

The scene of the incident was preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward with any information they may have.

Anyone with any information, including road users who may have dash-cam footage, who were travelling in Riverstick between 8pm and 9.30pm on Saturday 4 July are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
