Country star brings brand new show to Cork
Kildare-born singer Michael English and his great band are bringing an all-new show live to Cork Opera House next month.
Fans of English can look forward to an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment on Wednesday 16 September filled with his biggest hits, including ‘Locklin’s Bar’, ‘Tuam Beat’, ‘Nearest to Perfect' and many more.
Michael will also showcase Irish classics from his latest album at the piano, as well as timeless country favourites made famous by legends such as Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Charley Pride, and many others.
Joining Michael as very special guest is Mick Foster, one half of the legendary Irish duo Foster & Allen, who is one of Ireland’s most celebrated entertainers, renowned for his distinctive accordion style and warm stage presence. With timeless hits such as ‘Bunch of Thyme,’ 'Old Flames,’ and ‘Maggie', Mick has helped bring Irish music to audiences around the world. For this special performance, he is joined by his wife Moyra Fraser, whose elegant accordion accompaniment adds an extra richness to the sound.
