Be inspired at the Mallow Home and Garden Festival

Summer has arrived and what better way to enjoy it than to discover how to transform your home and garden at one of the biggest events in Munster?

There’s something for everyone at this year’s Mallow Home and Garden Festival which features showcases for outdoor living, garden design, and home inspiration.

Taking centre stage are the 25 spectacular show gardens, expertly created and maintained by the team at The Pavilion Garden Centre, Ballygarvan. These gardens are a source of insight and innovation - combining imaginative design with practical planting ideas that visitors can bring into their own spaces. Whether you're planning a complete transformation or looking for one clever idea to raise your garden game, you'll find it here.

The horticultural content at Mallow continues to rise. This year, the festival will feature a huge gathering of specialist nurseries from across Ireland, offering everything from rare and unusual plants to beloved garden staples, all with expert growers on hand to offer advice. It’s a plant lover’s paradise.

The Irish Specialist Nursery Association are back this year with a range of plants on offer, from the rare and unusual and hard to find, to the well known and well-remembered, and also to the very new and recently introduced. Most of the plants will have been grown and looked after by the nursery owners themselves and will not have come from the greenhouses and polytunnels of the large wholesalers.

The range of plants on offer will include herbaceous perennials, trees, shrubs, clematis, ferns and roses, and a stroll through the nursery stands will bring delight and interest as well as intrigue to visitors.

And the ever-popular gardening talks and demonstrations are back which are completely free to attend. Peter Dowdall, one of Ireland’s best-known gardening voices and a constant crowd favourite, returns alongside another heavyweight in the world of Irish gardening, Paraic Horkan. Their down-to-earth advice, expert knowledge and passion for plants make these sessions a must-see.

Across the weekend, over 200 exhibitors will be on site, covering everything from interiors and self-build advice to home improvements, artisan foods, and garden design solutions.

Cork Builders Providers return once again as key festival partners, having played an integral role in the construction of many of the gardens on display. They’ll also be offering exclusive show discounts across the weekend.

Finbarr O'Neill Aggregates also takes part again this year at the festival; visit their fabulous show gardens displaying the finest quality sandstone plum slate and decorative stone.

With full catering on site, ample free parking, and a shuttle bus from Mallow Rail Station, the festival makes for a relaxed and enjoyable day out. And with children admitted free, it’s a family-friendly experience that brings together the very best of garden inspiration, home expertise, and outdoor entertainment.
