There's Nathan better than supporting charity
Tickets for a star-studded charity concert raising vital funds for cancer support and research in Cork and beyond go on sale tomorrow.
On 30 July, country music sensation Nathan Carter will headline the Irish Cancer Society’s Concert for Cancer event at Cork City Hall.
Tickets for the concert cost €40 and will be on sale via Eventbrite from 10am tomorrow, Friday.
Carter, one of Ireland and the UK’s leading country singers, will be joined on the night by support act Clodagh Lawlor, one of the nation’s youngest award-winning country music stars.
Organisers are calling on the public across Cork and beyond to attend and support the event which will help fund crucial cancer services, patient support, and research.
“We’re thrilled to bring together these incredible performers for such an important cause,” said Natasha O’Byrne, event organiser.
She added: “Every ticket purchased directly supports those affected by cancer in our community.”
According to Irish Cancer Society, cancer will affect one in three people in Ireland during their lifetime.
The most recent data from the National Cancer Registry shows that in 2020, over 24,000 people in Ireland were diagnosed with cancer, highlighting the urgent and ongoing need for funding, awareness, and support services. Events like Concert for Cancer play a crucial role in funding these services locally and nationally.
Those wishing to support the event can contact Natasha O’Byrne at 085-2752558 or via concertforcancer.ics@gmail.com.
Concert for Cancer is an independently organised fundraising event in support of the Irish Cancer Society who provide free support services to patients and their families while funding groundbreaking cancer research.
