The final line up additions have been announced for a hugely popular roaming mini festival series coming to Cork next month.
Love Is A Stranger, which is part of cherished county Meath music festival Another Love Story (ALS), will take place for the first time in Ballyvolane House, East Cork, on 16 August.
Adding to the already packed line up featuring the likes of Elaine Howley, Niamh Regan, Optimo [Espacio], and Shane Johnson, the new acts added include Caoilian Sherlock and Tessa Rose Johnson; Cack Jollins; Cee M Cee; Eamonn End Up; Gilbert Steele; James Abure; Patfeelgood; Jim Plug’d; The Als Shift Shack Soundsystem; Heaps Keen; Nally; Neil Flynn; and That Good Good.
The Baltimore Fiddle Fair has also been added to the bill, presenting Bog Jazz Duo and Fuinamana.
Performances will take place across intimate and atmospheric settings throughout the day and long into the night. The festival also comes complete with a selection of local artisan food and drink providers.
Festival curator Emmet Condon said: “With just over a month to go to the inaugural Love Is A Stranger: Ballyvolane House, we are thrilled to welcome a raft of new additions to an already jam packed line up, and especially to get the opportunity to further mine the incredibly rich Cork music scene with a further collection of local live artists and DJs.”
“One of the great thrills of the Love Is A Stranger series is having a platform to do a deep dive into the local music scenes in the new locations we find ourselves and Cork, with its rich and storied history as a hub of music creation and expression - has provided incredibly rich pickings,” added Mr Condon.
Anyone looking to attend Love Is A Stranger: Ballyvolane House can chose from day tickets and overnight camping tickets from €65 plus fees. Limited early access and welcome event tickets for 15 August are also available, complete with a selection of boutique accommodation options unique to Ballyvolane House.
