If you are interested in nature-based solutions and want to share your ideas on how to make Cork’s streets more inviting, then grab a cuppa and have your say!

Cork City Council is calling on the community to help shape a greener future for the city. An open community workshop will take place in the open space on Fort Street on Saturday 16 August from 11am-3pm. Visitors will find a welcoming gazebo, a coffee dock, and plenty of conversation.

Dean Street and Fort Street have been chosen as pilot locations for this work. The goal is to transform streets with creative greening ideas.

Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, some sweet treats, and the chance to share your ideas to help improve the streets and create a place we can all enjoy for many years to come.

There will be group planting sessions, and people can bring home some herbs for their own use.

Can’t make it on the day? You can still have your say by completing our short online survey before the end of September at surveymonkey.com.
