Centre of excellence opens on Leeside

A new centre of excellence was opened in Cork city this week giving the company access to “exceptional software and engineering talent”.

Acuity Inc., an industrial technology company, opened a Global Digital Centre of Excellence which is expected to create more than 100 highly skilled jobs in the area over the next three years.

The project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Cork Chamber welcomed the official opening with its President Rob Horgan attending it.

He said: “Cork is home to a vibrant ecosystem across technology and innovation, and Acuity’s investment in the region is a further vote of confidence in Cork’s ability to compete and deliver on a global scale.”

The move reflects the momentum behind the firm’s ambitious growth strategy, which has seen it scale rapidly since its foundation.
