Run away to the Circus (Factory)

If you want to build strength, agility, and coordination in a fun environment, maybe circus arts might be for you!

Circus Factory Cork is inviting adults and kids to discover the magic of circus with a new 12 week course this autumn at its dedicated space on Centre Park Road. Classes include hula hoop, aerial silks, handstands, trapeze, and acrobatics.

Following the success of Pitch’d Circus and Street Arts Festival 2025, Circus Factory is offering popular circus courses. The courses welcome complete beginners of all shapes and sizes as well as those looking to build on existing skills. The adult classes are open to 18+. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.

Circus Factory member Eimear O’Brien has been attending classes for a few years.

She said: “The Circus Factory in Cork City is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a vibrant atmosphere and a sense of excitement. The instructors are incredibly talented and passionate, making the classes fun and engaging for all skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, there's something for everyone.”

Circus Factory also offers classes for kids starting from the age of seven. Classes include aerial for youth, aerial for teens, and mixed circus skills on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Greg O'Keeffe, a parent who visited Circus Factory this year, said Circus Factory is “safe, fun and with the loveliest staff. If you’re looking for something different, something exciting for your kids (or yourself), look no further than the Circus Factory!”

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for students to perform, including student showcases, Halloween cabarets, World Circus Day and Pitch’d Festival. They can also volunteer backstage if performing isn’t their thing.

Circus Factory offers classes for adults and youth as well as workshops for professionals. They also regularly engage in social outreach in many communities in Cork and further afield.

Prices for the 12 week courses vary, starting at €120 up to €210 for adults and €162 - €192 for youth classes. There are discounts and monthly instalment payment plans available.

On Sunday 14 September, Circus Factory Cork will be hosting a Canon photography event with O’Leary’s Camera World where photographers will get the chance to photograph circus using pro Canon camera equipment.
