‘Toast to the wonderful life she led’ ask Hopkins family
A pioneering spirit, a relentless commitment to creativity and community, and a deeply rooted belief in people.
That’s how the family of Mary Hopkins described her following news of her death this week. Mary was not only the cornerstone of their family but also the founder of Hopkins Communications. Though a proud Limerick native, she forged lasting relationships throughout Cork’s business community and beyond, contributing tirelessly to voluntary groups, boards, and organisations over the years.
Founding the family business 35 years ago, she worked tirelessly to grow Hopkins Communications into the company it is today. The family said she was and will always be the heart and soul of this business.
The family said: “Hopkins Communications will always be Mary’s story, and we are proud to keep writing the next chapter in her name. We hope that at your next outing, you will think of her and raise a large glass of vodka and soda in a fishbowl with ice and lots of “vegetables” (lemons and limes), and toast to the wonderful life she led. Enjoy life and just do it.”
She will be reposing at Barry Bros. Funeral Home, Hazelwood, Glanmire on Thursday 11 September from 5-6pm. Her requiem mass will take place at 11am on Friday in St Joseph’s Church, Springhill, Glanmire.
