Cillian Murphy attends star-studded premier
The Arc Cinema Cork rolled out the red carpet over the weekend for a star-studded premiere of Leeside Hollywood heavyweight Cillian Murphy’s latest film, ‘Steve’.
Amongst those attending the premiere on Saturday were the film’s creative team, and a number of special guests including an Taoiseach, Micheál Martin.
Directed by Tim Mielants and written by Max Porter, ‘Steve’ follows a day in the life of a headteacher in charge of a school for boys with behavioural difficulties.
The highly anticipated screening marked one of the most high-profile events to date at the Arc Cinema Cork, with festival partner Sounds From A Safe Harbour helping to bring the project to the city centre.
“We are enormously proud to have hosted the premiere of ‘Steve’ here in Cork,” said Robert Corr, General manager.
“The presence of Micheál Martin and so many leading voices from the arts community underlines the importance of cultural events like this to the city,” he added.
‘Steve’ will be released on Netflix next month, but audiences are encouraged to experience it on the big screen while they can — enjoying the unrivalled sound, picture quality, and comfort of The Arc Cinema’s luxury recliner auditoriums.
‘Steve’ is showing at The Arc Cinema from Friday 19 September and tickets are on sale now at ArcCinema.ie
