Cork Lotto players are being ugerd to check their tickets after Saturday's draw.

A Lidl for some, a lotto for most

A Lotto player in Cork has won themselves a tidy ‘Lidl’ sum after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw on Saturday.

The Cork player, who is yet to claim their prize, won a handy €164,156 after buying a Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at Lidl Ballyvolane on the Ballyhooly Road in Cork city.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s draw were: 03, 07, 19, 33, 40, 45 and the bonus was 20.

The National Lottery is urging players in Cork to check their tickets very carefully as one player now has a ticket worth €164,156. The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should then make contact with the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800-666222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “A Lotto player in Cork is certain to be celebrating today after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night’s main Lotto draw to win an incredible €164,156.

“While over 84,000 players won prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws in the weekend draw, the Cork player earned themselves the title of biggest winner of the night. Today, we are encouraging all of our players in Cork to check their tickets very carefully and to make contact with our prize claims team as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, there was no winner of Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot which was worth €4,127,622.
