Quintas launch latest Employment Investment Incentive Scheme fund

A new investment scheme worth €12 million is set to benefit social infrastructure projects across the country.

Cork-based Quintas Capital announced on Monday the launch of its latest Employment Investment Incentive Scheme (EIIS) Fund, targeting €12 million for investment in social infrastructure projects. The fund is expected to be oversubscribed based on the company’s recent success in closing and fully deploying the first EIIS fund delivering 50% income tax relief to investors.

For that fund, Quintas raised €8 million from 135 investors and deployed it within just nine months into three tangible projects: large-scale crèches, padel courts and an aparthotel. Investors achieved the maximum 50% income tax relief, a milestone that no other EIIS manager in Ireland has attempted due to the complexity of structuring investments to qualify.

Quintas CEO Kevin Canning said:“EIIS is one of the most powerful levers Ireland has for directing private capital into the real economy. It supports entrepreneurs, creates jobs, and funds infrastructure that communities desperately need. Our investors are not just securing tax-efficient returns – they are helping to build the childcare centres, healthcare facilities, and business spaces that underpin Ireland’s growth story.”

The firm’s investment philosophy is focused on straightforward, cash-generating businesses rather than speculative ventures.

The new €12 million fund will continue this disciplined model, investing exclusively in pre-trading social infrastructure projects that qualify for the maximum 50% tax relief. Sectors of focus include childcare, healthcare, recreation, renewables and essential business facilities – all areas where Ireland faces significant need and where private capital can deliver measurable social and economic outcomes.

“Many high-earning professionals and entrepreneurs are looking for efficient ways to deploy capital beyond pensions. EIIS offers not only superior tax treatment but also a chance to make a visible difference in Irish society. Investors know exactly what they are backing – buildings, facilities and businesses they can see and understand,” added Mr Canning.
