Lollapalooza West Cork style

A very special series of events and fundraisers will be held throughout West Cork next month with an aim to raise funds to ease the suffering of the people of Palestine.

As part of the initiative, on 30 November, the iconic DeBarra’s Folk Club in Clonakilty will host DeBarra-Palooza for Palestine, a day-long celebration of music, comedy, literature, and community activism.

Running from 12 noon until 11pm, every cent raised at the event will go directly to support humanitarian efforts via fundraising NGO, the Tea Collective.

The historic 200 year old venue will be transformed for the day, with every room filled with live performances, acoustic sessions, spoken word, DJ sets, and recitations.

The lineup incudes Mick Flannery, Susan O’Neill, David O’Doherty (comedy), Charles Hendy (the Mary Wallopers), Paula K O’Brien, The Ceili Allstars, Martin Leahy, Sinéad Quinlan (comedy), Gavin Moore, Mide Houlihan, Fir Beag, Abair Amhrán, The Mountain Common, DeBarra’s Fireside Orchestra, Setmaker, Louise O’Neill (author), and Maeve Higgins (author). A number of special mystery guests are also set to be announced shortly.

Tickets are €50, with all funds being donated to Tea Collective. Upon entry to the venue wrist bands will be given to ticket holders which will allow re-entry throughout the day.
