Festive cheer as Santa visits the northside
Cork Foyer was filled with festive excitement as 450 children from 20 preschools and schools across Cork city’s northside to visit Santa Claus.
The event was run by Cork City Council in partnership with Housing Cork Foyer, Cork City Partnership, Cork City Childcare and Churchfield Trust.
The children were all smiles and laughter as the visit brought a dose of Christmas magic, as each child got the opportunity to meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes, play in the playground, and take part in a joyful festive experience in a warm and welcoming environment.
The event highlighted the strong sense of community across Cork’s northside, with schools, staff, and volunteers coming together to ensure every child enjoyed a memorable start to the Christmas season.
“This visit was all about creating moments of joy and togetherness for children in our community. Seeing the excitement on their faces when Santa arrived made all the hard work worthwhile,” said an organiser.
