Casey appointed to board of PJ Hegarty

Barry Casey has been appointed to the Main Board of civil engineering company PJ Hegarty as Construction Director for the Southern Region.

Casey joined the company in 1993 and has played a key role in delivering many of the company's flagship projects across the commercial, pharmaceutical, life sciences and residential sectors.

Since 2018, he has served as Regional Director.

Casey has been involved in some of PJ Hegarty’s best-known projects, including Boston Scientific, MSD, Penrose Dock, Nano Nagle Place, and the Elysian.

He said: “PJ Hegarty has been part of my career from the very beginning, so I am proud to take on the role of Construction Director for the Southern Region and join the Main Board.

“I look forward to supporting our teams as we continue to deliver for our clients across the region, with safety, collaboration and quality at the centre of everything we do,” he said.

Its current projects include works on Cork Airport, and Ireland’s tallest residential building, Cork’s 25-storey Railyard development.
