Midleton invites admissions from new students

Small class sizes allow for the careful nurturing of the individual within the college community and significant emphasis is placed on inclusive and holistic education.

Midleton College is a co-educational boarding and day secondary school with a Church of Ireland ethos.

Dr Edward Gash, Principal of Midleton College, extends an invitation to all prospective students for admission for all years in September 2022 to submit an application within the enrolment window of 1–22 October.

The aim of the college curriculum is to offer a broad curriculum that supports the academic and personal development of each pupil allowing them to reach their full potential. The school offers 22 subjects for Leaving Certificate including three languages, Politics & Society, Computer Science, Physical Education and Design & Communication Graphics.

The college boasts a modern sand-dressed astroturf pitch, swimming pool, rugby pitches and dining hall. The latest edition to the campus is the recently completed Trevor West Sportshall, specially designed for basketball, badminton, hockey and other indoor sports. The newly refurbished boarding houses offer students a home away from home.

Extracurricular activities are strongly promoted within the school to ensure each student finds a niche that they can enjoy. These diverse activities include clubs such as art club, science club, drama club and sports including rugby, hockey, soccer and swimming.

Music is an important part of the school; all first years receive music lessons and the college choir and a chamber orchestra are central to the school.
