‘Eat with the Seasons’ is Cathy Fitzgibbon’s first book.

Why not eat with the seasons?

A new book aims to show people how to eat in tune with nature and the four varied seasons of the year and how beneficial this can be.

‘Eat With The Seasons’ is the debut book and brainchild of new Cork author Cathy Fitzgibbon, aka The Culinary Celt.

She maintains that “when we understand our personal relationships with food, we give ourselves a better chance to live more healthily and harmoniously in the ebb and flow of the seasonal cycles of the year”.

Cathy used her time during lockdown to research and write the book. The Celt Mindful Eating Model framework, Culinary Compass Tool and a variety of frameworks and exercises have been developed to instil a greater sense of daily gratitude and joy drawing from our food interactions, encounters and experiences.

‘Eat With The Seasons’ is designed to help readers align and balance the scales in terms of their own personal emotional eating patterns, making it useful for anyone seeking to better understand their relationship with food and the role it plays in their overall wellbeing.

The ability to positively educate others in the areas of sustainability and wellbeing is of paramount importance now more than ever as we navigate our way through this era of coping with Covid.

Having experienced first-hand the various negative relationships that many people have with food, The Culinary Celt enables others rediscover a more positive love, appreciation and understanding around it.

Cathy is not someone who advocates a particular type of diet but explores different types of natural food sources and whilst appreciating the fact that everyone has differing requirements when it comes to food depending on their lifestyles.

‘Eat With The Seasons’ is available to purchase at theculinarycelt.com and will also be available in selected bookstores, food stores and cafés throughout Cork over the coming weeks.
