Applications are now being taken for the next cycle of the Diploma in Speciality Food Production at UCC.

The Diploma programme, which also runs in Dublin, will be delivered using a blend of primarily online and on campus sessions.

Diploma recipient Aisling Tuck has developed two food businesses, Naked Bakes and Oh Happy Treats in Dublin, since completing the programme.

She said: “I found the Diploma in Speciality Food Production fundamental to the furthering of my wholesale bakery, as well as in launching my sister company, a cookie dough retail product.

“It was extremely valuable to connect with all the knowledgeable lecturers on the course, as well as meeting likeminded entrepreneurs and sharing ideas. I'd recommend the diploma to anyone wanting to start or develop their food business,” added Aisling.

Applications are now being taken for diplomas in Cork and in Dublin, and funding of 64% is available for eligible applicants.

The diploma programme starts on 11 October and will run on a part-time basis until May 2023.
