Summer brings about some busy weeks

Summer is in the air and with it comes a busy week of events and activities.

When the weather is good, getting out and about is so much easier, don’t you think?

On Wednesday, I attended the launch of a new clinic in the heart of Cork city at the beautiful Penrose House, Penrose Quay. The launch was hosted by RTÉs Maura Derrane and was a great chance for people to check out this new clinic which is the first of its kind in Ireland.

aNuMe Medical is a cutting-edge, medical led, all-encompassing aesthetic and wellness clinic, providing bespoke treatment packages for women and men of all ages - from surgical and non-invasive treatments for face, body, skin and joints, to wellness solutions, menopause and intimate hormonal health packages.

aNuMe Medical will cater to all, with GP referrals optional but not necessary. I previously was in the clinic getting the Fotona Smooth Eye treatment and I was in the safe hands of nurse Sharon who put me at ease about having lasers so near the eye.

I’m pretty self conscious about my eye area and in particular my hooded eye so I was excited to see how this non invasive laser treatment would work. Probably the strangest bit is the numbing around the eye and the laser being underneath the eye, but it was painless and I could see immediately a brightening of the eye area but as new collagen production happens I should see more results in 4-8 weeks. I’ll keep you posted!

The clinic is bright and airy with a luxury feel and I love how after an individual consultation a bespoke care package is created for you with medical experts such a founder Prof. Barry O’Reilly and other experts John Curran, Karruppiah Mahalingam and Pyn Lim and with such expertise you know you’re in the best hands.

On Sunday it was a day of family fun for myself, Rob and our fur baby Blanche as we headed off to Pups In The Park at the showground in Curraheen. Blanche was invited as a VIP, P for pup I assume and of course as any good diva we were merely her entourage for the day.

There was so much to do and see and Blanche was just delighted to get out and have a smell of the grass. We headed straight for the agility area to test Blanche’s skills and let's just say Crufts will not be coming a calling, but she did however take like a duck to water on the Red Carpet Paw-ty area. Well as the sayings go, she didn’t lick it off a stone, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and all that jazz.

She was clearly born for pawfluencing. It would be lovely to see more dog friendly places as it makes it so much easier when you can bring your pooch along and when we were in Valencia recently it was extremely dog friendly everywhere from restaurants to bars and even high street shops.

I once got kicked out of a well known Cork shopping centre as I had Blanche in my arms and needless to say Blanche was highly offended. Now I’m off to set up her own Instagram, I’m sure she will have 20K followers by next week.
