When we heard that La Vida Aesthetics Clinic offer a range of treatments designed to help their clients look and feel their best, we wanted to know more.

So, we recently sat down with the owner of the clinic, Dr Odille Figueredo, to hear more about the business and hopes for 2024.

Congratulations on your new clinic opening, tell us a bit about your background and why you went the route of opening an aesthetic clinic?

I graduated as a medical doctor from the esteemed University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. I work as a general practitioner with a special interest in psychiatry and emergency medicine. Outside of medicine, it has always been a dream of mine to work in the beauty industry, and when I decided to branch out into aesthetics it was the perfect way to bring the two worlds together.

Combining my expertise in medicine with my newfound passion for aesthetics, I have seamlessly integrated the two realms, offering a unique and holistic approach. Opening my own clinic was a decision deeply rooted in my passion for continuous learning and my commitment to the ever-evolving field of skin aging and aesthetics.

As someone who thrives to on acquiring new knowledge, I’ve dedicated myself to courses, conferences and seminars, and I am currently advancing my expertise through a master’s degree in skin aging and aesthetics.

This journey has not only kept me at the forefront of the lasts developments but has also ignited a desire to create a space where I can apply this wealth of knowledge. By opening my clinic, I saw an opportunity to imprint my unique approach and philosophy onto the world of beauty, offering treatments that reflect the latest scientific advancements and a deep understanding of aesthetic care.

How long does a consultation take at the clinic?

In our practice, we believe that consultations are a vital part of the aesthetic journey for our clients. Before any treatment is booked, we highly advise a consultation to discuss aesthetic concerns, build rapport, and truly understand the client’s story and reasons behind their decision to pursue a treatment. We love the name La Vida how did you decide on this name?

The name La Vida is Spanish for ‘The Life’. It evokes a sense of vitality, energy and a celebration of life. It could deeply resonate with idea of living life to the fullest, appreciating the beauty around us, and finding joy in everyday experiences. It’s the perfect description of my clients aesthetic journey of rejuvenation and self-discovery, where individuals seek to reconnect with their essence and embrace a more vibrant and youthful spirit.

How is business going since your grand opening?

Since the grand opening, La Vida Aesthetics Clinic has been experiencing a remarkable journey, nestled in the heart of the District Health & Leisure area in Tivoli. This prime location strikes as the perfect balance between discretion and accessibility, making it an ideal sanctuary for those embarking on their aesthetic and rejuvenation journey. The response from our clients has been overwhelmingly positive. We are excited to continue this journey, fostering a community of wellness and beauty in Cork.

What are your hopes for 2024 for your new clinic?

For 2024, I hold a vision of remarkable growth and expansion for La Vida Aesthetics Clinic, fuelled by a blend of ambition and grounded optimism. Beyond numerical growth, we aim to expand in the breadth of innovative treatments and services we offer. We’re set to introduce the latest advancements in aesthetics, staying true to our commitment to excellence and the cutting-edge of beauty science.
