Domino’s launch new store

Domino’s opened its latest Cork store in Glanmire recently.

The store is the latest in a series of openings, delivering a total of 20 new roles to the area including store management, pizza chefs, customer service colleagues and delivery drivers.

Domino’s Glanmire aims to be at the heart of its community and will be donating €2,000 to local efforts to repair the local Sarsfields pitch. The pitch was damaged in 2023 during Storm Babet, when the local club opened its gates to allow floodwater in, to help reduce potential damage to peoples’ homes.

On Thursday 23 May, from 3-6pm, Domino’s Pizza Glanmire held their official opening where they presented Sarsfields with the donation and invite the community for free pizza, giveaways and music and more from the RedFM street fleet.

Cathal McDonnell, Domino's Pizza Cork Franchisee said: “At Domino’s we love to support the communities we serve, and we’re delighted to be able to give something back to the Glanmire community. We really admire the efforts Sarsfields made to help their community and we hope we can contribute in some way towards rebuilding the local pitch. We are delighted to open our doors in Glanmire and look forward to delivering fresh, handmade pizzas to locals, and welcome them to our new store.”

Sarah McCarthy, PRO Sarsfields Cork said: “It's so lovely to see a new business in Glanmire investing in the community. We at Sarsfields Hurling Club are delighted to receive a very generous donation of €2,000 from Domino’s that will go towards our redevelopment fund.”

Domino’s is currently on the lookout for exceptional people to be part of the in-store team for the opening of upcoming new stores. These roles offer a great opportunity for ambitious people looking to grow and build a career with the nation’s best loved pizza company. The new store is located at Hazelwood Shopping Centre.
