Cork trio recognised at this year's 12th Annual Just Eat Awards

Ireland has voted and 3 of Cork’s favourite eateries have been recognised with a national award.

Lennox's of MacCurtain Street and Izz Café have been named winners at the 12th annual Just Eat Awards, alongside Sano Pizza, who took home the Best Pizza award and the top honour of Independent Restaurant of the Year. The Just Eat Awards were held in celebration of the nation’s favourite restaurants, grocery and retail partners.

Lennox's of MacCurtain Street was crowned Best Chipper, recognising standout fish and chip takeaways delivering quality, consistency and customer favourites nationwide. Located in the heart of the Victorian Quarter, Lennox’s has earned legendary status for its generous portions, no-nonsense approach and loyal local following built over generations.

Izz Café was named Best Middle Eastern for the second year running, recognising restaurants delivering authentic, flavour-rich dishes inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. This family-run Palestinian restaurant has built a strong following in Cork and beyond, known for its warm hospitality and authentic dishes that bring a true taste of the region to customers.

Sano Pizza, which has a location in Cork, received the highest number of public votes both in its individual category (Best Pizza) and overall. It is known for its authentic and affordable Neapolitan-style pizzas. As part of the win, the restaurant will receive a €100,000 package, the largest prize ever awarded as part of the Just Eat Awards, to support its continued growth and expansion.

Thousands of people across Ireland cast their votes in this year’s Just Eat Awards, showcasing the best food spots across Ireland, from the local heroes and hidden gems, the shortlisted and winning restaurants bursting with talent and flavours.

Category winners were selected from a shortlist of over 105 nominees, and in addition to the Independent Restaurant of the Year title won by Sano Pizza, the winners were:

This year’s winners, who ranged from local, independent food spots to national restaurant brands, were announced at a lunch event in Fallon and Byrne in Dublin city.
